    A team from State University of New York at Oswego secured the $256 third-place prize with BeatBoxing, a browser-based rhythm and exercise game. "With their movements tracked through their laptop's webcam, players can throw uppercuts, hooks, and blocks in time with on-screen notes—if the punch lines up with the beat, they score points!" explains Samantha Brown, a fourth-year computer science and interaction design double major on the team. "The game is built on rhythm-game charting, so it can run any Clone Hero or Guitar Hero song chart, letting players pick from a huge library of tracks." Johns Hopkins' annual coding marathon brought college students from across the country together to create a record number of software projects in just 36 hours.
